Rosa von der Lieth quilt
There are two pieces to this collection, the quilt and the newspaper article. The quilt was completed in 1899 in a process that took several months. The quilt is red in coloration with white stars and wheels. The wheels and stars have a total of 800 signatures from famous and local figures. The quilt is 93in by 79in long. The newspaper article is from November 28th, 1963, from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. It was written by Doris Lockerman.

The Tanner Lumber Company was an Athens-based company that sold builders’ and artists’ materials until 1996. The collection includes documents and ephemera belonging to the company, as well as miscellaneous materials from two other local businesses, the Dozier Company and Athens Market Inc. Also included in the collection are family records of the company’s president, J.B. Tanner.
