Athens Area Retired Educators Association collection
Scope and Contents
Scrapbooks, records, and publications created by the Athens Area Retired Educators Association or related organizations. The collection begins with contents removed from a notebook. The materials are presented in the order in which they were found with the exception of issues of the AAREA Reporter, the organization’s newsletter. These have been placed in their own folders. Originally, some of them had been interfiled with the other materials in the notebook. Most issues of the AAREA Reporter published during the years, 1991-2003, are found here, as well as a small number of issues from years prior to and after that period. A few issues of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association’s newsletter are also included.
The undated photographs are Polaroids that are likely older than the rest of the photographs.
