Charles A. Rowland IV was a local historian, antique appraiser and historic preservationist. He was involved with zoning and neighborhood preservation issues. Mr. Rowland passed away in 2006 and his daughter donated all materials to the ACCL Heritage Room.

The collection contains materials created and collected by Jill Read that relate to efforts to preserve the Morton Theatre in Athens, Georgia. Contains materials related to, and audiovideo recordings of, Vaudville, a theatrical variety show created by Jill Read as part of Morton Theatre fund-raising efforts in the 1980s.

The collection contains materials donated by Athens resident Ethel T. Chaffin who earned a Master of Arts degree at the University of Georgia in dance and theatre history in 1982 and contributed heavily to the work of the Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation. Includes her thesis notes and research on Athens theatrical history and preservation of local landmarks, including Seney-Stovall Chapel.
