Vertical Files
Scope and Contents
The organization of the files was significantly changed in 2023-2024, with the number of subject headings reduced. Many subjects were classed under general subjects, the degree of specificity determined by the character of Athens history (e. g. a large number of files under Colleges and universities--University of Georgia) or by the contents of the files itself (that is, some topics randomly have a large number of items or certain periods of time are covered by a large number of clippings).
