Biographical / Historical
Hugh Logan was born in Athens in 1923 and was educated in the local schools. He served in the United States Army in World War II. Logan founded the Normal Hardware Company. He served 12 terms a commissioner, seven as its chair. He also served in the Georgia House of Representatives, on the board for the First National Bank of Athens, Athens-Clarke County United Way, and a member of the Prince Avenue Baptist Church. He died November 5, 2005 at the age of 82. - Athens Banner- Herald - Nov. 7, 2005

Overview
