Biographical / Historical
The Classic City Band is Georgia’s oldest continuous community band which began in 1976, and has been formally recognized as Athens, Georgia’s “Official City Band” since 2006. It was founded as a non-profit organization to preserve the cultural heritage and traditions of American concert bands.
