Scope and Contents
This collection includes 31 family photographs, at least two of which show Joanna Gibson, one Henry Beusse--other members of the Gibson family being shown as well; 1917 correspondence addressed to Joanna Gibson from Lester Eppard, soon to be her husband; newspaper clippings; a memory book entitled Souvenirs to Henry Beusse; a Treasured Memories (unknown publisher) book that does not contain any entries; and a City of Athens resolution honoring Henry Beusse.

This collection has no restrictions. This collection is open to the public. Library policy on photography and photocopying will apply. Advance notice may be required. Apply in the Heritage Room for access. The exception is the Order of the Eastern Star collection, the directories included in which list the personal addresses and phone numbers of members. These directories are not available to the public.
Biographical / Historical
Henry Beusse served as the Mayor and Chief of Police for Athens, Georgia. The connection between Beusse and the Eppards is currently unknown.
