Scope and Contents
The collection includes seven photographs depicting the Crosby Family with friends, with their plane, and at a Roscoe Turner Air Show dinner; two facsimile photos: one of Dr. and Mrs. William Crosby, and another of the Crosby Family with friends; several notebook pages with notes pertaining to the history of the Athens Flying Club; and newspaper clippings concerning the Athens Flying Club, the Crosby Family, and the Athens Air Show.

This collection has no restrictions. This collection is open to the public. Library policy on photography and photocopying will apply. Advance notice may be required. Apply in the Heritage Room for access. The exception is the Order of the Eastern Star collection, the directories included in which list the personal addresses and phone numbers of members. These directories are not available to the public.
Biographical / Historical
Dr. William Crosby and his wife, Helen Crosby, were charter members of the Athens Flying Club. Dr. Crosby was elected as the club’s first president.
