Price Family collection, 1928
Scope and Contents
The collection largely consists of photographs. An oversize photograph depicting members of the Rotary Club in Athens shows buildings in downtown Athens that are no longer extant; the item was folded into four pieces, and one of the pieces had already torn off from the remainder when the Heritage Room received the materials. The other oversize items all pertain to Julian Price: Athens High School and University of Georgia diplomas and the Order of DeMolay declaration.

Biographical / Historical
The photographs are mostly individual shots. The pictures of Julian Price range from across his life. Little historical background can be gleaned from these materials, besides that Julian Price was involved in various social groups in Athens, such as the Rotary Club and the Order of DeMolay, as seen in the pictures and suggested by the other items, for example a program for the Eleventh Annual DeMolay Conclave, held in Columbus, Georgia, June 17-19, 1934, and a declaration of Price’s receiving the Chevalier degree.
